HISTORY

1997

Opening of a Christmas store in Rivière-du-Loup’s shopping mall in a small 457 sq. ft. space, under the name Collection Plus.

2002

Purchase of the actual site of Noël au Château and opening of the new store next to the castle. The castle itself, an iconic building on our site, but also in the city, has been conceived to resemble those imagined in the magical world of Disney. Enchanted by day, illuminated every night, tours of the castle are offered and showcase a unique exposition around the traditions and celebrations of Christmas. The exposition is renewed each year.

2015

On September 15th 2015, the castle was severely damaged by fire, destroying two of it’s towers, among other things. Although it’s not possible to visit the castle anymore, it remains as impressive and majestic as ever, and is still illuminated every night in season. Fortunately, the store suffered only some minor damages and was quickly back to it’s normal operation.
